Implementation & Project Manager

Job Type: Full-Time
About Aptly
Aptly is the enterprise platform for delegation of authority and signatory management. We help large organizations move from spreadsheets and manual governance processes to a centralized, auditable, AI-enhanced system. Deploying Aptly inside a large enterprise is not a simple SaaS onboarding. It requires understanding the client's organizational structure, authority policies, integration landscape, and compliance requirements, then translating all of that into a configured, operational platform.
About the Role
We are hiring an Implementation and Project Manager to own the end-to-end client journey from signed contract through go-live and beyond. This is a hybrid role that blends project management discipline with product management instinct. You will manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications, but you will also deeply understand what is being implemented and why, so you can make smart trade-offs and advocate for the client's needs within our product roadmap.
Post-onboarding, you will continue to be the client's strategic partner, gathering requirements for enhancements, managing feature requests, and ensuring that Aptly evolves in line with how our clients' governance needs change over time.
This role bridges client success, product, and engineering, and it is critical to how Aptly earns and retains enterprise trust.
What You Will Do
- Own the implementation lifecycle for enterprise clients: scoping, project planning, requirements gathering, configuration oversight, testing coordination, training, and go-live
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders during implementation, managing expectations, communications, and escalations with professionalism and clarity
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions to translate client authority structures, approval workflows, integration needs, and reporting requirements into implementation specifications
- Coordinate across internal teams including engineering, product, design, and professional services to ensure implementation milestones are met on time and to standard
- Build and maintain project plans, status reports, and risk/issue logs for every active engagement
- Manage integrations with client HRIS, ERP, identity, and procurement systems, working with engineering to configure data flows and validate accuracy
- Transition clients from implementation to steady-state operations, establishing ongoing communication cadences and success metrics
- Post-onboarding: serve as the ongoing requirements partner for clients, gathering enhancement requests, documenting use cases, and prioritizing alongside the product team
- Feed implementation learnings back to product to inform platform capability, default configurations, and onboarding tooling
- Contribute to the development of implementation playbooks, templates, and best practices that scale our services capability
What You Bring
- 4-7 years of experience in implementation management, technical project management, or client-facing product management at a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company
- Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise software implementations from kickoff through go-live
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems and integration patterns, with comfort discussing HRIS feeds, SSO/SAML, API integrations, and data migration
- Excellent project management skills with experience using tools like Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or Smartsheet
- Ability to operate at both the strategic level (Why does this client need this authority structure?) and the tactical level (Is this data mapping correct?)
- Outstanding communication and relationship management skills
- Experience gathering and documenting product requirements in a structured format (user stories, PRDs, acceptance criteria)
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, or internal controls concepts is a strong plus
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification is a plus
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certifications in project management, business, or a related field preferred
What We Offer
- Competitive salary with equity participation and performance bonuses
- A high-impact role that directly shapes client outcomes and product direction
- Direct access to Aptly's leadership team
- Flexible remote work environment
- Budget for professional development, certifications, and industry conferences
- Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)
